Four Northeastern University athletic teams were recognized by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) as recipients of Public Recognition Awards, the organization announced Wednesday. The Northeastern teams recognized by the NCAA were men's cross country, women's soccer, women's swimming and diving and women's indoor track and field. Men's cross country received a Public Recognition Award for the fourth straight year and the fifth time in the last six years, while the women's indoor track and field squad garnered its second straight. Women's soccer and women's swimming and diving both earned their first honor.
